April 22, 2022 - My name is Chris Koltonski and I am pleased to announce my candidacy for re-election to the Shelbyville ISD School Board. I am proud to be a life-long resident of Shelbyville. I am a member of the graduating class of 2001 and my wife, Whitney, is a 2002 graduate. Prior to starting our own family we made the decision to remain in our home town and raise our children as Dragons.
December 13, 2021 - It is truly an honor to serve as your County Judge; therefore, I would like to announce that I will be seeking re-election in the upcoming Republican Primary. December 8, 2021 - My name is Todd Jamison. I would like to introduce myself as a candidate for Shelby County Commissioner Pct 2. I am a lifelong Shelby County resident, all of it living within Pct 2, and a 1979 graduate of Shelbyville High School.
November 30, 2021 - Last week, State Senator Robert Nichols (R-Jacksonville) filed for re-election for Texas Senate District 3. The newly redrawn district covers much of the existing district including the majority of East Texas. Major changes include picking up the greater part of Jefferson County and losing San Jacinto County and Montgomery County.
"Serving the people of Senate District 3 is a tremendous honor and I seek to continue our important work at the capitol and remain a strong voice for rural Texas," said Nichols.
November 15, 2021 - Today, Judge Jim Payne, (Republican) announced he will seek re-election as 273rd District Court Judge.
“It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as District Judge,” said Judge Payne. “If re-elected I will continue to operate the Court with a conservative, even-handed and common-sense approach”.
