March 19, 2018 - My name is Floyd Blackman and I am proud to announce my candidacy for Joaquin City Council. My wife, Susie, and I have lived in the Joaquin area for more than 30 years. We have four grown children and numerous grandkids. I retired after 42 years in the oil field so I will be readily available to fulfill my duties as City Council member.

February 16, 2018 - My name is Kevin Foster and I am a Republican Candidate for Shelby County Commissioner Precinct 4.

I am a Shelby County native. I grew up in Tennessee community, where I continue to reside with my wife and family. Having grown up in this area, I am familiar with the roads as well as my neighbors that live on them. I am proud to be from this area, and that is because of the kind of people that live here. 

December 20, 2017 - My name is Deborah Sharp and I am announcing my candidacy for Justice of the Peace in Shelby County.

I am a native of Center, Texas and a graduate of Center High School and Panola Junior College. I am married to Jimmy Sharp (Bimbo). In the past, I have worked for the United States Postal Service as a Sub rural Mail Carrier, and have also been employed by the Texas Department of Corrections - Bradshaw Unit as a Correctional Officer.
