December 5, 2019 - Friends and fellow Shelby Countians, my name is Karren Price and I am a Republican candidate for District Attorney for the 123rd Judicial District, serving Shelby County.
My husband, John, also an attorney, and I have been married thirty-one years, we have four children and seven grandchildren. I was born and raised here and have previously held this office as well as I have served as Shelby County Attorney and 273rd Judicial District Judge. For the past thirteen years I have taught Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Evidence and Research and Writing, at SFA in the Department of Government, helping educate and shape the next generation of law enforcement officers and attorneys.
I am proud to say my whole career has been in service to my community in one form or another and I seek re-election as your District Attorney to put my knowledge of this job, this community and the courtroom to work for you again every day.
The decisions required of the District Attorney are often life changing, sometimes for whole families, and as you know, there is no substitute for the wisdom gained from age and experience and I believe I offer the best of both.
