December 6, 2017 - My name is Tommy Moody and I would like to announce my candidacy for the office of Justice of the Peace Precinct 1 in the March 2018 Republican Primary. I am a lifelong resident of Shelby County, graduating from Center High School. My wife of 44 years is Linda McMahon Moody and we have one son, Brad, his wife Kaylyn and our 3 precious grandchildren, Macy, Gracie and Brayden. My parents are Freddie Moody and the late Dan Moody of Center.
May 4, 2017 - My name is Jay Wilson and I am a candidate for a position on the Joaquin ISD Board of Trustees. I am a retired high school science teacher and have no agenda other than doing what is best, first and foremost, for the education of our students.

April 26, 2017 - Brinson Stewart, FNP-C, announces his candidacy for Timpson School Board. He is a graduate of Timpson High School and SFA and has two children who attend Timpson ISD.
Stewart is the Nurse Practitioner for Dr. Kavita Vyas in Nacogdoches and Center. He earned his FNP-C from the University of Texas at Galveston.
