November 30, 2021 - Last week, State Senator Robert Nichols (R-Jacksonville) filed for re-election for Texas Senate District 3. The newly redrawn district covers much of the existing district including the majority of East Texas. Major changes include picking up the greater part of Jefferson County and losing San Jacinto County and Montgomery County.
"Serving the people of Senate District 3 is a tremendous honor and I seek to continue our important work at the capitol and remain a strong voice for rural Texas," said Nichols.
November 15, 2021 - Today, Judge Jim Payne, (Republican) announced he will seek re-election as 273rd District Court Judge.
“It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as District Judge,” said Judge Payne. “If re-elected I will continue to operate the Court with a conservative, even-handed and common-sense approach”.
June 28, 2021 - Today, Senator Robert Nichols (R-Jacksonville) announced he will seek re-election to represent Senate District 3 in the Texas Senate. Senate District 3 is comprised of 19 counties covering the greater part of East Texas and Montgomery County.
