Melba Rodgers Announces Candidacy for Justice of the Peace, Pct 3

December 11, 2019 - My name is Melba Rodgers and I am a candidate for Justice of the Peace, Precinct 3, Shelby county.

I have four children, Doug Rodgers, Heather Clark Moody, David Rodgers, Todd Clark and 15 grandchildren. I was born in raised in Shelby County and am a graduate of Shelbyville high school and Massey Business College.

I began work as secretary/accountant for Tri-County Community Action from its inception and retired as executive director after 18 years to work alongside my husband, Mike Rogers. We owned and operated San Augustine Muffler, Scotty Muffler and Used Cars, and Haslam Scrap. We pastored together 20 years at Willow Grove Community Church and I was asked to remain as their pastor after his death 10 years ago. Most of my family has been involved in serving people in one capacity or another. I believe the position I seek would be an extension of what I am already doing.

Good luck to my four opponents... all friends and neighbors... all good men. I promise to run a fair and honest campaign and honor God in the process.
