December 16, 2019 - My name is David Cheatwood and I am seeking office for Shelby County Commissioner, Precinct 3 as a Republican candidate. I am a lifelong resident of Joaquin, Texas. My wife, Jennifer, and I have been married 18 years. I have 3 children Tanner, Graduate from LHS; Maddisyn, Senior at Joaquin HS; and Ryleigh, Junior at Joaquin HS. My parents are Roy and Jackie Cheatwood.
I have been with the Shelby County Road and Bridge a total of approximately 15 years. I have had the privilege of working under 2 different Commissioners as a Supervisor. I have personal knowledge of all the roads located within Precinct 3. I am experienced with the operation of all equipment and I hold a Texas Commercial Drivers License. Furthermore, I am experienced with planning and overseeing the day to day operations of maintaining our roads and equipment within Precinct 3.
As your Commissioner, I will work diligently with the Commissioner’s Court and our County Judge, all in the best interest of the citizens of Shelby County. I will strive to be for the people of Precinct 3 and bring you the best quality work ethics in maintaining our roads.
