October 23, 2024 - My name is Casey Lout and I’m announcing my candidacy for the current race for the Center ISD Board of Trustees. I am running for re-election for one of three available 4 year terms. My husband, Shad, and I are both graduates of Center High School and lifelong residents of Center. We currently have three children attending Center ISD and a fourth who graduated from CHS in 2024 and is now attending Texas A&M University.
I have been actively involved with our schools for many years. I started by substituting in the classroom and also led and participated in various parent organizations and committees. For the last 8 years, I have served on the Center ISD Board of Trustees. During that time, I’ve served as secretary of the board as well as a member of the construction committee overseeing our latest district improvements. I consider it an honor and privilege to represent our community in this capacity. I believe I have fought a good fight thus far; however, there is still work to be done. I will not make empty promises because I know the task at hand is difficult. There have to be changes made and I am committed to seeing those changes through, in hopes that Center ISD can move forward in a positive direction and be the school that we all know and love and will be proud to call our Alma Mater.
I do not have a personal agenda. I go into every board meeting prayerfully, asking for wisdom and guidance from Him, to make decisions that will be best for all students and staff. I will continue to listen to those whom I serve and work tirelessly on their behalf. Center ISD is blessed with some amazing teachers and faculty and I understand the importance of listening to them and ensuring their voices are heard.
Early voting began Monday, October 21, at the Community House in Center.
