Center Christian Academy Students of the Month - January

Pre-K 
Lila Rafferty, age 4
Lila’s hobbies are riding horses and playing. Her favorite subject in school is Handwriting, and her favorite thing about school is taking a nap. In the future she would like to ride horses and go to rodeos. Her favorite people are Abby and Ava. Her teacher, Ms. Karen, had this to say about Lila: “Lila is a very good student. She does her work, is obedient and is always kind to her peers.” 

Kindergarten
Lincoln Willoughby, age 6
Lincoln’s hobbies are playing X-box and hunting. His favorite subject at school is Handwriting and his favorite thing about school is play break, (basketball in the gym). In the future, he would like to buy a truck and attend college at Centenary College, (“where Austin is!”) . His favorite person/hero is “The Flash,” because he runs fast. His teacher, Mrs. Mandy, had this to say about Lincoln: “Lincoln loves school and always does his work. He definitely keeps me on my toes!”

1st and 2nd Grades
Austyn Mahan, age 8
Austyn’s hobbies are ice skating, bowling, and playing with her friends. Her favorite subjects at school are Science and Social Studies, and her favorite thing about school is meeting new people. In the future, she would like to be a Paleontologist. Her favorite person/hero is her mom. Her teacher, Mrs. Price, had this to say about Austyn: “She is a very good student. She reads well, is creative and does her work in a timely manner. I enjoy being her teacher.” 

3rd and 4th Grades
Molly Allen, age 9
Molly’s hobbies are reading and drawing. Her favorite subject at school is Reading and her favorite things about school are having a good teacher and friends. In the future, she would like to be a nurse, and plans to attend college at SFASU. Her favorite person/hero is her dad, because, “He protects us!” Her teacher, Ms. Kandi, has this to say about Molly: “Molly is enthusiastic and always willing to help. She tries hard and always goes above and beyond with her assignments. I have no doubt that whatever she sets out for in life, she will achieve.” 

5th and 6th Grades
Kripa Tailor, age 11
Kripa’s hobbies are playing volleyball and tennis. Her favorite subjects at school are History and Science. Her favorite thing about school is, “My teachers are very sweet and they always help me.” In the future, she would like to become a surgeon, and plans to go to college at Panola and then UT Dallas. Her favorite person/hero is her mom, because she is always there to support me. Her teacher, Miss Adrianna, has this to say about Kripa: “Kripa is a very good student. She is always helpful to those around her, and she is attentive and diligent in her work.” 

7th and 8th Grades
Shane Allen, age 14
Shane’s hobbies are reading, playing video games and playing basketball. His favorite subjects at school are Science and History, and his favorite thing about school is being able to learn and LUNCH. In the future, he would like to be some kind of scientist. His favorite person/hero is Jesus, because, “He is perfect!” His teacher, Mrs. Joanna, had this to say about Shane: “Shane lights up any room. He is so easy going, happy and loves to learn. Honesty and kindness to others are two of his best traits. I am proud to be his teacher.”

9th-12th Grades
Darcie Hays, age 16
Darcie’s hobbies are painting and making flowers. Her favorite subject at school is Science and her favorite thing about school is being in a Christian environment. In the future, she would like to become a Florist. Her favorite person/hero is Jesus. Her teacher, Mrs. Triplett, had this to say about Darcie: “She is a diligent student. She has proven herself to be organized and focused as she has worked a part-time job while still maintaining her classwork and extracurricular commitments. I am very proud of the maturity she has shown.”
