January 27, 2016 - Center Elementary School and Center Intermediate competed in UIL last Saturday, January 23, in Carthage, Texas. Overall, Center placed second. Other schools competing were Tatum, Henderson, Rusk, and Carthage.
We are very proud of our 2nd and 3rd grade students! I would like to thank our coaches, administration, and parents for all their support!
2nd Grade -
- Storytelling team is composed of Chasidee Jones, Lily Chisenhall and Addyson Franklin with Coach Jessica Gipson
- Chess Puzzle team includes Rex Payne, Jaxon Sanford and Kinzley Pinkston (6th place) with Coach Amy Sanford
- Creative Writing team competed with Nathan Cole (2nd place), Angie Rojas (6th place) and Hope Nehring with Coach Inez Hughes
- Music Memory team placed first place with Adison Franklin (tied for 1st place, had a perfect paper), Ely Smith, Franil Patel, Lily Chisenhall (tied for 1st place, had a perfect paper) and Jonatan Mora Soto with Coach Kathy Nichols.
3rd Grade -
- Music Memory team competed with Trista Britt, Braelyn McCaffrey (2nd place, had a perfect paper), Anna Hagler (1st place, had a perfect paper), Laura Anne Scull and Gracie Boyd (3rd place) with Coach Kathy Nichols. They placed 1st.
- Spelling team includes Kasandra Moreno, Gracie Boyd (4th place) and Julissa Alvarado with Coach Shelby Wheeler.
- Ready Writing team is composed of Hollie Herndon, Jahaziel Figueroa (1st place) and Holden Stone with Coach Crystal Chisenhall.
- Chess Puzzle team competed with Zayne Hennigan, Ethan McGhen and Kaleb Robertson with Coach Amy Sanford.
- Storytelling team includes Triniti Bell, Trista Britt and Laura Anne Scull (3rd place) with Coach Crystal Chisenhall.
