March 10, 2016 - Center Garden Club Flower Show Chairman Cherry Jones discusses committee assignments and general rules for the 50th Annual Small Standard Flower Show and Plant Sale to members at their March 9 meeting.
The show, "Nature's Abundance," is open to the public (free admission) from 12:00 noon to 4:30 p.m., Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Center Community House, 423 San Augustine Street, Center, Texas.
The Show will feature Floral Designs, Horticulture Entries, and Special Exhibits of Youth Designs by Center 3rd grade and Center High School Jr. Garden Clubs, as well as Educational Exhibits. The plant sale will include annuals, perennials, East Texas natives, and other favorite pass-along plants.
The Children's Advocacy Center will have their butterfly release for child abuse awareness at 4:00 p.m. at the Community House, and the drawing for the Garden Urn will follow. $1-tickets for the Urn may be purchased from any Center Garden Club member.
