May 17, 2016 - Center Garden Club recently recognized several students for placing in the garden club poster contests. Seen here are Center Elementary students, Maliah Norris and Carter Tomlin. Maliah placed 1st place for her Woodsy Owl poster at the District III, State and South Central Region levels. Maliah is in 1st grade. Carter placed 2nd place for his Smokey the Bear poster at the District III level. Carter is in 2nd grade. The students worked under the direction of Mrs. Inez Hughes, Center Elementary School fine arts and GT teacher.
Update: Winners at Center Elementary School were 2nd and 3rd grade students Wade Collard, Hollie Herndon, Jack Wagner, Nathan Cole, Avery Lawrence, Hope Nehring, Holden Stone, Anna Hagler, Gisel Olalde, and Triniti Bell. Congratulations to these students on a job well done! Winners were awarded certificates and cash prizes.
