October 28, 2022 - Center High School is hosting Financial Aid Parent Night on Monday, November 7, 2022 at 6pm in the CTE computer labs.
In accordance with Texas Education Code (TEC), 28.0256, beginning with students enrolled in 12th grade during the 2021-2022 school year, each student must do one of the following in order to graduate:
- Complete and submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) (https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa); or
- Complete and submit a Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA) (http://www.collegeforalltexans.com/index.cfm?objectid=A3119543-CBF8-C202-F1B0EEFD5F4B9805); or
- Submit a signed opt-out form (https://tea.texas.gov/).

What to Bring!
Everyone is encouraged to create their FAFSA ID before coming to the parent night. We will be completing the application process during this time.
- Federal Student Aid ID (parent and student) - It is recommended not to use a school-based email address as you will need to access your account after you graduate.
- Social Security Numbers
- Driver's License Numbers
- 2021 Federal income tax return, W-2s. There is an IRS data retrieval tool that can pull last year's tax return information.
