Center HS Horse Judging Team Competes at Area

From CHS Agriculture Instructor, Ashley "Nicci" Cooper:

From Left to Right: Diana Escobedo, Litzy Duarte, Zykevious KhournApril 13, 2017 - Horse judging is an FFA contest where students will take the judges seat and judge horses in both performance (riding classes) and halter classes (looking at skeletal structure of the horse). They will typically judge 4 classes of performance and 4 classes of halter and then answer questions over two classes. This is a very competitive event and takes real dedication for students to learn how to judge and become successful.

Our students have worked hard and practiced to be able to compete.

Center FFA competed at the Area Contest at Sam Houston State University yesterday. It was a competitive contest with over 150 students competing and 44 teams from across our area. Our young team of students came away 12th in our district.
