April 8, 2019 - Sophomore Kristen Orsak's original play, The Void, will be presented by CHS Theatre's 3rd Period Advanced Players on Thursday, April 11 at 6:30. Miss Orsak tells the story of Brooke, a teenager suffering from depression and her friends and family who aren't sure how to help her. The script has been workshopped by her peers since the fall and is ready for its "international premiere."
After the production, a panel of local therapists will participate in a "talk back" session so that audience members can learn more about a condition that has become such a major issue for modern school-aged Americans.
Seating is limited to the first 65. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students; proceeds go toward the Jackie and Reba Watlington Scholarship fund.
