September 2, 2026 - The outside temperature is not the only thing hot this August, the Center Roughrider Varsity Tennis team has been on fire the first few weeks of school. The Riders hosted Spring Hill on August 17, where they won 13-6 as a team. The team returned the following week with an impressive win over Bullard, who is ranked #15 in the State in Preseason rankings, by a score of 14-5.
Monday, August 31, Center swept Woodville in their first district match of the Fall Team Tennis season 19-0. The team is now 8-2 for the season and 1-0 in district play. Their next matchup will be against Kilgore on September 10th. The team is coached by Leon Dykes and Lori Cooper.
