October 17, 2024 - The Center Woman’s Reading Club honored the memory of long time member Jane Ruth Ingram Morrison at the October 3 meeting by dedicating the club’s program book in her memory. Club member Janene Walker wrote a resolution in memory of Mrs. Morrison. She and club President Alease Copelin presented the resolution to Mrs. Morrison’s daughter Sharon Crelia at the recent club meeting.
The resolution noted the many contributions to the reading club including her 66 year membership in the club and service as club president in 1971 through 1973 as well as her service in many other various club positions. Mrs. Morrison worked along side her husband at Morrison Insurance Agency and was very active in her beloved Center community. In addition to her reading club membership, she was also active in Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, bridge club, and in her church.
The Center Woman’s Reading Club offers its sincere condolences to the family of Jane Ruth Ingram Morrison.
