May 19, 2025 - The Center Woman’s Reading Club installed officers for the 2025-2026 at the May 15 meeting. Officers serve a two-year term. The officers were installed by member Montie Jones.
April 14, 2025 - The Center Woman’s Reading Club met for its bimonthly meeting Match 20. Stephanie Elswick served as both program leader and program hostess. She served a wonderful homemade with love luncheon that was enjoyed by all.
February 20, 2025 - The Center Woman’s Reading Club met February 6 at the Center First Methodist Church in the fellowship hall. During the business meeting, club President Alease Copelin invited everyone to attend an exhibit open house titled 'Clubs and Organizations' at the Shelby County Museum on Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 1 to 4pm. The museum is open weekdays from 1 to 4pm. The Center Woman’s Reading Club has a display at the exhibit that shows the long history of the club that was founded in 1896.
January 17, 2025 - The Center Woman’s Reading Club met January 16 at the First Methodist Church Fellowship Hall for its bimonthly meeting. Following the business meeting, club member Sue Russell who served as program leader and hostess provided a delicious luncheon that was enjoyed by all. Mrs. Russell then introduced her lifelong friend Carol Robinson Baker who presented a most interesting program to the club.
December 6, 2024 - The Center Woman’s Reading Club’s December meeting included a program on the value of letter writing along with presentations by local groups who give books to children for Christmas.
November 6, 2024 - Center Woman’s Reading Club’s president Alease Copelin recently recognized Montie Jones for her 29 years as an active member in the club. Mrs. Jones served as the club president in 2007-2009.
