May 27, 2021 - The Center Woman’s Reading Club met on Thursday, May 6th at the FUMC fellowship hall.
The club was pleased to purchase three children’s books in memory of long time member, Polly Smith, who passed away several months ago. The books are at the Fannie Booth Watson Memorial Library available for check-out.
April 9, 2021 - The Center Woman's Reading Club met March 18 at the Center First United Methodist Church fellowship hall. President Dottie West called the meeting to order and announced that the next meeting will be April15 in the FUMC fellowship hall with Bonnie Lucas serving as program leader and hostess.
December 9, 2020 - The Center Woman’s Reading Club met November 19 with Alease Copelin serving as program leader and hostess.
The club has moved its meeting time to twelve noon to accommodate women who work outside the home and can easier attend meeting during lunch time. The meetings last about one hour.
November 2, 2020 - The Center Woman’s Reading Club met October 1st at Center First United Methodist Church fellowship hall.
Following the business meeting Dottie West presented an interesting program on the book “Presumed Innocent” authored by Scott Turow. The story told in first person by character Rusty Subick who is an attorney. Subick was assigned a case involving the murder of a colleague, Carolyn Polhemus.
