October 22, 2018 - An election for the City of Center was ordered to be held on November 6, 2018 from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM for the purpose of electing the following officers:
District II - Council Member (Rogers Yarborough and Jerry G. Lathan)
District IV - Council Member (Randy Collard - Unopposed)
At-Large - Council Member (Leigh Porterfield - Unopposed)
At-Large - Council Memberd (Terry Scull - Unopposed)
Early voting by personal appearance will be conducted at the Shelby County Clerk's office located at 124 Austin Street starting October 22, 2018 and ending November 2, 2018.
Shelby County Clerk's Early voting schedule: October 22 (7am to 7pm); October 23 to Oct 26 (8am to 4:30pm); October 27 (10am to 2pm); October 28 (12noon to 4pm); October 29 (7am to 7pm); and October 30 to Nov 2 (8am to 4:30pm).
Applications for ballot by mail shall be mailed to the Shelby County Clerk at P.O. Box 1744, Center, Texas 75935, Attention: Jennifer Fountain. Applications for ballots by mail must be received no later than the close of business on October 22, 2018.
