City of Center Presents Prize Money to Parade Winners, Reveals 2020 Parade Details

December 23, 2019 - Santa's Christmas Parade winners were presented checks by the Award's Sponsor - the City of Center on Monday, December 23, 2019 by Mayor David Chadwick.

"I really want to thank y'all very much for participating in our annual parade," City of Center Mayor David Chadwick expressed.

He understood it would have been an easy year with the construction downtown for participates to have skipped it this year which made it all the more special that the parade was a success with crowds filling up the new route areas. "Your attitude was Christmas and you did the whole nine yards with it. So, thank you very much for your participation in [the parade]."

He also gave some 'flash news' to the winners, "Next years parade is going to be on December 5th, put it on your calendars already... and the theme next year will be 'Christmas Then and Now.' This is the Chambers announcement of the theme for next year and since y'all are such avid supporters, you deserve the first shot at it. So, congratulations and we look forward to seeing each of you participating next year in an even grander way than it was this year. Thank you very much and Have a Merry Christmas!"

Chadwick recognized parade sponsors: Presenting Sponsor - Shelby Savings Bank, Float Sponsor and Awards Sponsor - City of Center, Silver Sponsors - Farmers State Bank and Specter, Inc.
