August 16, 2024 - Notice is hereby given of a Regular Meeting of Joaquin City Council to be held on August 20, 2024 in the City Council Chambers of City Hall, 130 Steve Hughes Drive, Joaquin, Texas, beginning at 6:00 p.m. for the purpose of considering the following agenda items.
The following items are on the agenda for appropriate action:

5. Open Forum. Open Forum is an opportunity for citizens to speak about items not listed on the agenda. In order to address the City Council, please complete the Open Forum form and submit it to the City Secretary Prior to the start of the meeting. In accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, the City Council shall not discuss, deliberate, or make any decisions on items discussed during the Open Forum. Comments are limited to 3 minutes per person.

10. Discuss and consider taking action regarding a resolution for Shelby County Tax Assessor-Collector to designate an individual authorized to calculate various tax rates.
11. Discuss and consider taking action with Krystal Raybon and the Christmas Festival.
12. Discuss and consider taking action on finding someone to do appraisals on used equipment.
13. Discuss and consider taking action on the need to purchase the land for ground storage unit grant.
14. Discuss and consider taking action on opening a new checking account for USDA grant as requested.
15. Discuss and consider taking action on purchasing a utility locater.
16. Discuss and consider taking action on changing signature cards to Rusty Wilson, Mayor Pro-Tem.
17. Discuss and consider taking action on bids received for trimming trees in the city park.
18. Discuss and consider taking action on quote to bore under concrete to repair leak on CR 3565.
19. Discuss and consider taking action on Account 297 - 524 Southern Avenue.
20. Council Items: Reports by the members of the City Council on matters not on the agenda.
21. Adjourn.
The Council reserves the right to retire into executive session concerning any of the items listed on this agenda whenever it is considered necessary and is legally justified under the Open Meetings Act.
