September 26, 2024 - Notice is hereby given of a Special called meeting of Joaquin City Council to be held on Monday, September 30, 2024, in the Joaquin Volunteer Fire Department, 131 Steve Hughes Drive, Joaquin, Texas, beginning at 4:30pm for the purpose of considering the following agenda items.
The following items are on the agenda for appropriate action:
1. Call to Order:
2. Roll Call: To establish a quorum.
3. Invocation:
4. Pledge: United States Pledge, Texas Pledge
5. Discuss and consider taking action to adopt a resolution related to the 2024 Downtown Revitalization application as required by the Texas Department of Agriculture under CDM24-0069 and authorizing Mayor to execute said agreement.
6. Discuss and consider taking action to move the October meeting of the Economic Development Board and the Public Safety Board from the third Tuesday, October 15, 2024, to the fourth Tuesday being October 22, 2024; and move the Council meeting to Thursday, October 24, 2024, due to office personnel being out for training conference.
7. Discuss and consider taking action on reevaluating the monthly funding for the USDA loan. Then moving excess funds from the USDA account to operating account.
8. Discuss and consider taking action to approve the 2024-2025 Budget.
9. Adjourn.
The Council reserves the right to retire into executive session concerning any of the items listed on this agenda whenever it is considered necessary and is legally justified under the Open Meetings Act.
