September 10, 2025 - Notice is hereby given of a Regular Meeting of Joaquin City Council to be held on Monday, September 15, 2025 in the City Council Chambers of City Hall, 130 Steve Hughes Drive, Joaquin, Texas, beginning at 6pm for the purpose of considering the following agenda items.
The following items are on the agenda for appropriate action:

2. Roll Call: To establish a quorum.

4. Pledge: United States Pledge, Texas Pledge
5. OPEN FORUM. Open Forum is an opportunity for citizens to speak about items not listed on the agenda. In order to address the City Council, please complete the Open Forum form and submit it to the City Secretary Prior to the start of the meeting. In accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, the City Council shall not discuss, deliberate, or make any decisions on items discussed during the Open Forum. Comments are limited to 3 minutes per person.

7. Discuss and consider action on approving the previous month’s minutes.
8. Discuss and consider action on approving the Financials and Bills for August.
9. Discuss and consider action to Adopt Budget for fiscal year 2025-2026 and approve Ordinance.
10. Discuss and consider action to Adopt Tax Rate and approve Ordinance.
11. Discuss and consider action on accepting bids for 2012 Ford Truck.
12. Discuss and consider action on replacing swing at Park.
13. Discuss and consider action on water leak, Account 468.
14. Discuss and consider action on changes to Personnel Policy tabled from last meeting.
15. Discuss and consider action on approving Resolution to seek Grants for WWTP
16. Discuss and consider action on moving all elections to November and letting the county election judge to handle all aspects of the election.
17. Council Items: Reports by the members of the City Council on matters not on the agenda.
18. Adjourn.
The Council reserves the right to retire into executive session concerning any of the items listed on this agenda whenever it is considered necessary and is legally justified under the Open Meetings Act.
