February 25, 2025 - Notice is hereby given that the Joaquin City Council is adding an Urgent Supplemental Agenda Item to the Special Called Meeting to be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 4:30pm at Joaquin Volunteer Fire Dept. located at 131 Steve Hughes Drive, Joaquin, Texas. An emergency and urgent public necessity is limited to imminent threats to public health and safety, which require immediate action by Joaquin City Council. This notice of meeting giving time, place, date and subject of the URGENT SUPPLEMENTAL AGENDA ITEM was posted as described in V.T.C.A. Government Code §551.041 for the purpose of considering the following agenda items and has been provided to the media and to anyone else that has requested to be notified pursuant to Section 551.047(a).
URGENT SUPPLEMENTAL AGENDA ITEM:
1. Discuss and take possible action: Replacing main sewer lines along Morris Street to Preston Street.
The Council reserves the right to retire into executive session concerning any of the items listed on this agenda whenever it is considered necessary and is legally justified under the Open Meetings Act.

February 20, 2025 - The City Council of Joaquin will meet for a Special Council Meeting on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 4:30pm at Joaquin Volunteer Fire Dept. located at 131 Steve Hughes Drive, Joaquin, Texas.
The following items are on the agenda for appropriate action:
1. Call to Order:
2. Roll Call: To establish a quorum.
3. Discuss and take possible action: Approving the previous month minutes.
4. Discuss and take possible action: Approving the financials and bills for January.
5. Discuss and take possible action: Approve mini-split AC unit bid for Historical Building to be paid out of the Hotel Tax Fund account.
6. Review bids and take possible action on air lines on train #1 tank at WWTP.
7. Discuss and take possible action on changing the bank used for the city accounts.
8. Accept Certification of Unopposed Candidate Form SOS 13-1.
9. Council Items: Reports by the members of the City Council on matters not on the agenda will be made at this time.
10. Adjourn.
