August 5, 2016 - Notice is hereby given that a Regular meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will be held on the 8th day of August, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:
1. Approve the minutes of the July 11, 2016 Regular Meeting and the July 25, 2016 Special Meeting of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court.
2. Approve and pay the monthly expenses.
3. Approve Officers’ Reports.
4. Public Comments on Agenda items.
5. County Treasurer, Ann Blackwell, will discuss and request approval of investment of Money Market funds to Certificates of Deposit with Farmers State Bank.
6. County Treasurer, Ann Blackwell, will discuss and request approval of amendment to the Investment Policy.
7. Discuss and possibly approve the Contract with the Department of State Health Services providing on-line computer services for the County Clerk.
8. Discuss and approve disbursement of Unclaimed Capital Credits. These funds were allocated July 20, 2016.
9. Discuss and possibly approve transfer of funds from the Shelby County Clerk’s budget to the District Clerk’s budget to support the ongoing effort to preserve the District’s records.
10. Consider and discuss hiring Grantworks, Inc. to apply and administer a grant for the National Incident-Based Reporting System through the Criminal Justice Division of the Governor’s office.
11. Consider and discuss approval to apply for the National Incident-Based Reporting System grant through the Criminal Justice Division, and approval of Resolution.
12. Discuss and consider authorizing procurement of engineering and administrative services for the County’s 2017-2018 TxCDBG Community Development Fund grant application and implementation.
13. Lewis McGinty to present information on the paupers’ cemetery in Keithville.
14. Tax Assessor-Collector, Debora Riley, to submit report of collections for 2015 and calculation of effective and rollback tax rates, and set a Budget Hearing for August 22, 2016.
15. Non Action Item – Record open meeting of the Adult Shelby County Community Supervision and Corrections Department
