April 19, 2023 - Shelby County Constable Precinct 3 has reported the recovery of a stolen vehicle as of April 18, 2023.
Constable Roy Cheatwood was informed on Saturday evening, April 15, 2023, a1996 Chevy pickup was stolen from a convenient store in Logansport. The owner had just put gas in the truck, and just after he paid for the gas and walked outside, the pickup was gone.
Constable Cheatwood was notified that the pickup was in a driveway in Garrison, and upon arrival he contacted DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Office and confirmed he had located the pickup truck.

Assistance was requested of the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s office and Garrison Police Chief Tim Barton arrived quickly thereafter.
Suspect’s have been identified in this investigation and the pertinent information has been passed on to DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Department Investigators. Constable Cheatwood reports this is the 61st vehicle recovered through the Precinct 3 office since he has been there.
