June 17, 2019 - The Shelby County Constable Precinct 3 office is reporting on a drug related arrest which was accomplished through combined efforts with the Shelby County Sheriff's office.
Roy Cheatwood, Constable Precinct 3, reports he and Constable Newton Johnson were assisted by Shelby County Sheriff's Deputy Josh Tipton at a residence on County Road 2703 in the Rolling Hills Community at 1:30pm on June 8, 2019.
The officers were seeking to serve a felony warrant on an individual from Logansport, LA. Once that location was secured, and two individuals known to have a history with illegal substances were detained, permission was gained from the homeowner to conduct a search of the residence.
During the investigation of the residence 6.4 grams of methamphetamine was discovered along with drug paraphernalia. As a result Tara McBee, 46, of Shelbyville was arrested for manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance, felony 2, and she was transported to the Shelby County Jail by Deputy Tipton.
Constable Roy Cheatwood encourages anyone who suspects illegal drug activity or other crimes to contact their local law enforcement authorities.
