County Improves Land's End Subdivision Roadway

October 3, 2016 - County commissioners and Shelby County Road and Bridge work crews were seen providing a smoother ride to residents of Lands End Subdivision Friday, September 30, 2016.

Lands End is in Precinct 4 located off Folsom Chapel Road (FM 2026) and during the July 11, 2016 meeting of Commissioners' Court the roadway through Lands End was recognized as a public roadway. As a result Bradley Allen, Shelby County Commissioner Precinct 4, could begin maintaining the road.

Commissioner Allen and Roscoe McSwain, Commissioner Precinct 1, were on location as the road was being smoothed and a black oil sand surface was applied. The oil sand is a product which is prepared by the commissioners from Precinct 1 and 2.

County Road 4293 is also located just off FM 2026 and has been resurfaced with cold patch mix, which has improved the roadway greatly.
