December 28, 2016 - The Shelbyville Post Office was the scene of an early morning crash Saturday, December 24, 2016.
According to Texas Department of Public Safety State Trooper Dustin Ramos, at 5:55am a black 2012 Chevrolet Camaro driven by Jack O'Rear, 45, of Shelbyville was northbound on State Highway 87.
At that time the Camaro traveled onto the wrong side of the road, not passing to the left, and off the roadway where it struck a concrete culvert to a private drive. Damage was incurred by the vehicle on its front right when it struck the culvert before continuing off the roadway and overturning onto its right and top causing damage before coming to rest off the roadway.
O'Rear stated he was fatigued at the time of the crash and was not reported to have been injured from the incident.
O'Rear was issued a citation for wrong side of road - not passing.
