David’s Daily Devotion for Apr. 10

April 10, 2024 - Good Morning! It's Wednesday, April 10.

The fateful news came across the wires on April 10, 1970. What tragic event happened on that day? The Beatles announced to the world that they were splitting up. And a generation mourned.

Formed in 1960, the little band from England literally rocked the world.  John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr are commonly regarded as the most influential music group in history. To date, over 600 million Beatle records have been sold, and they hold the U.S. record with 20 #1 songs. But the impact of the Beatles was far more than just financial, or even musical. Time magazine named them among the 100 most influential people of the 20th century.

And on April 9, 1970, all four Beatles . . . were still in their twenties!  Can you imagine? They all went on to write, record, and perform lots more great music, but their legacy was etched into history while they were still just "four lads from Liverpool".

Here are some "under-thirty heroes" from the Bible . . .
*Daniel, *Ruth, *Samuel, *Esther, *David, *Mary, *Timothy - just to name a few.

Each of these Bible characters is worthy of study. They remind us that God loves young people and gives them the power and the opportunity to change the world!

Meet you back here tomorrow,

Bro. David
