*Served as a US Senator
*Was governor of Tennessee (AND Texas!)
*Led the Texas army to victory at San Jacinto
*Was the first president of the Republic of Texas
*Ran for president of the United States
An utterly amazing life. And at the age of 61, this man did the most amazing thing of his life. Sam Houston . . . was baptized.
