David’s Daily Devotion for June 1

June 1, 2022 - It's Wednesday, June 1.

Here at First Baptist Center, we are T-Minus 5 days until Vacation Bible School! It all starts next Monday, June 6, and runs through Friday, June 10. Children ages 4 through 6th grade will enjoy music and crafts and missions and snacks and Bible study and recreation. Go to fbccenter.org to find out more and to register.

This summer, in Southern Baptist churches alone, over 3 million kids will go to VBS. And over 70,000 of them, on average, will make a public decision for Christ. Studies show that 2 out of every 3 Christians make that decision before they reach the age of 18. And 45% of us trust Jesus before we turn 12. I'm guessing that that's probably true of your experience.

There's a funny cartoon on Facebook right now. It's a picture of a woman who looks utterly exhausted, and the caption reads, "I'm tired. I'm Vacation Bible School tired!" VBS does take a lot of time and effort, but when you consider all the young lives that are impacted . . . it's all worth it.

Proverbs 22:6. Train up a child in the way that he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Meet you back here tomorrow,
Bro. David
