David’s Daily Devotion for May 24

May 24, 2022 - Good Morning!  It’s Tuesday, May 24.

It’s gonna rain!  Here in Shelby County, Texas we could get up to five inches over the next two days, and we’re under a flood watch.  It’s gonna rain!

Our environment is so different from that of Bible lands.  In an average 12-month period, we get over 50 inches of rain. There are parts of the Holy Land that get less than one inch all year long!  Is it any surprise that words like "water" and "thirst" occur hundreds of times in The Word?

Revelation 22:17 - "Let the one who is thirsty come, and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life".

Isaiah 12:3 - "With joy you shall draw water from the wells of salvation."

John 4:14 - And Jesus said, "Whoever drinks of the water that I give will never be thirsty again."

These words remind us of these lyrics from Chris Tomlin - "And like a flood, His mercy rains.  Unending love.  Amazing Grace!"

Meet you back here tomorrow,
