David's Daily Devotion for April 25

April 25, 2025 - Good Morning! It’s Friday, April 25.

As we come to the end of this week, we focus on endings. Have you heard about these people that read the last chapter of a book first? It’s a thing. They’re out there. And now that streaming services put on a whole season of TV shows at the same time, I’m guessing they watch the last one of those first, too.

The urge to know the future is wired into our DNA. It’s that urge that keeps all those palm readers and fortune tellers in business. But Isaiah 46:9-11 tells us that there is only One who truly knows what lies ahead - “I am God and there is no other. I am God and there is none like me. I make known from the start, and what is still to come.”

When we read the last chapter of His book (Revelation 22), we’re reminded that He is “the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End”. When it comes to the future, we may not be able to skip to the last page. But it has already been written, and God is the author. He holds our future in His hands.

Meet you back here on Monday,
David
