August 4, 2023 - Good Morning! It's Friday, August 4.
Our five-year-old granddaughter has been visiting us this week. We've had lots of summer fun, but her summer is just about over. Soon, along with kids across the country, she'll have her first day of school. But this will be her "first", first day. And that's a milestone!
A typical life has many milestone moments. Among them might be - the day you get your driver's license, the day you start your first job, your wedding day, the day your first child is born. Think back, for a moment, to the milestone days of your life.
I imagine your list includes that day when you began a relationship with God, through the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Do you remember the date? Where you were? How you felt in that milestone moment? The Apostle Paul had a dramatic salvation experience on the Damascus road. These are his words.
"I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39
