Two of my favorite things are the Bible and trivia! So, here's ten fascinating facts about God's Word for you to ponder over your breakfast.
- Over 100 million Bibles are sold each year.
- China produces more Bibles than any other country.
- The Bible was the first book printed on moveable type - the Gutenberg.
- In 1631 a bible was published with the typo - "Thou Shalt Commit Adultery". It's nicknamed the Sinners Bible.
- The first message sent by telegraph - in 1844 - was from Numbers 23:23 - "What hath God wrought?".
- The Bible has been translated into over 2,000 languages.
- The smallest Bible is called the Nano Bible, and can fit on the head of a pin.
- The biggest Bible weighs over 1,000 pounds and is four feet tall.
- The most stolen book in the world is the Bible.
- The King James Bible contains 788,258 words. And the last one is "Amen".
