David's Daily Devotion for June 10

June 10, 2025 - Good Morning! It’s June 10.

I’m pretty old-school when it comes to writing. These daily devotions end up on my computer, but they begin on a yellow pad, written by a pen. And not just any pen. It has to be the “Pilot Precise Rolling Ball VS Extra Fine”. I’m not particularly particular about most things. If my coffee’s hot, that’s good enough for me. If a car gets me where I need to go, I don’t care that much about what it looks like. But when it comes to pens - there is only one choice. There is no substitute.

What do you have in your life like that? I’m sure you have things that you’re particular about. Is one of those things the Bible? I read all sorts of books and magazines, but there is no substitute for the Word of God. That’s my opinion. Here are some opinions from some notable people.

  • “I never saw a useful Christian who was not a student of the Bible.” - Dwight L. Moody
  • “If you are serious about changing your life, you are going to have to get into the Bible.” - Rick Warren
  • “Nothing less than the whole Bible can make a whole Christian.” - A.W. Tozer
  • “If you are ignorant of God’s Word, then you will be ignorant of God’s will.” - Billy Graham

The Bible... there is no substitute.

Meet you back here tomorrow,
David
