David's Daily Devotion for March 15

March 15, 2022 - Good Morning! It's Tuesday, March 15.

Today we take a quick look at a famous Bible verse - Philippians 4:13. It was a favorite verse of my dad and my sister. Maybe it's one of yours.

I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.

Does this scripture guarantee that a child of God can have whatever they desire? As we study the Bible there is one word that is a key to clear understanding - context. Take time to consider who wrote the verse, who it was written to, and for what purpose it was written. It's also a good idea to examine the verses before and after the key verse. Here's Philippians 4:12.

I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation...

Christians experience ups and downs in their lives, just like everyone. But Christ gives His children the strength to find joy and peace in every situation, on the good days and the bad. The Apostle Paul, who had many trials in His life, wrote Philippians. The joy of the Lord was His strength. May that strength be yours on this day.
