David's Daily Devotion for May 5

May 5, 2022 - Good Morning! It’s Thursday, May 5.

In Ephesians 6 we read these words - “Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world. Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.”

I invite you to take a stand, wherever you are today, on this National Day of Prayer. Here in Shelby County we’ll meet at noon in front of our historic courthouse. I urge our local readers to come down and join us for this half-hour event. Join us as we sing the National Anthem. Join us as we pray for our country, our schools, our soldiers, our first responders, our churches, our homes. Join us as we form a human prayer chain around the courthouse and sing “Amazing Grace”.

This is a good day... to take a stand.

Meet you back here tomorrow,
Bro. David
