A famous writer once gave an interesting quote about Heaven. He said, “I think that Paradise will be like a big library.” Devout book lovers will see some sense in that - they’re always longing for more time to just sit and read. Eternity in a library sounds pretty good to me.
C.S. Lewis said, “Joy is the business of Heaven.” Christian author, David Jeremiah, wrote, “Heaven is a prepared place for prepared people.” Billy Graham believed that “Heaven is my real home, I’m just traveling through this world.” The Apostle Paul taught this truth to the church in Corinth - “Now we see only a reflection, as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I will know fully, even as I am fully known.”
I close today’s devotion with this quote from Jesus - “In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. If I go to prepare a place tor you, I will come again and receive you to myself, that where I am, there you may be also.”
Comforting words.
