David's Daily Devotion for November 29

November 29, 2022 - Good Morning! It’s Tuesday, November 29.

I think I’ve found the perfect job. I want to work for The Weather Channel as a forecaster. But I would specialize in “long-range” forecasts - at least ten days in the future. Why would this be the perfect job? Because no one really expects these forecasts to be very accurate. And by the time that future day arrives, you’ve forgotten what the prediction even was. The perfect job.

Our church’s community Christmas event - Journey to Bethlehem - is ten days away, and the long-range forecast is for rain. But who puts any faith in that! Future telling is a tricky business, whether it’s the weather or Wall Street. In the end, we should probably just leave it to God.

Isaiah 46:9 - I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done . . .

Meet you back here tomorrow,

Bro. David
