David's Daily Devotion for September 30

September 30, 2025 - Good Morning! It’s Tuesday, September 30.

Sometimes a single pleasant photo, a single positive image, can manage to lift our spirits and make our day. I hope this one lifts your spirit on this day.

I try to walk every day. Three times around my property, outside of Tenaha, Texas, is just about a mile, and I complete six circuits for a two-mile trip. During the summer months I make sure to start that trip early in the morning, before the heat sets in. But lately I’ve moved my walk to the evening, taking advantage of the cooler temperatures of the early fall.

That’s where I was last evening, when suddenly I was joined by a very unlikely trio of friends. My neighbors have a white Great Pyrenees dog that treats my house like his home away from home. So he’s a frequent companion on my walks. But last night, he was joined by a brown teacup Chihuahua and a little black goat. An unlikely trio, indeed.

The Pyrenees weighs in at about 150 pounds, while the Chihuahua tips the scale at around one pound. I often see them playing together, completely oblivious to their differences. The goat was a new addition, never seen him before. But last night, there we were, the four of us. A giant white dog, a tiny brown puppy, a little black goat - and me - enjoying a walk in the cool of an evening.

Hope that picture made you smile.

Meet you back here tomorrow,
David
