April 9, 2021 – The Center City Council will hold a special ribbon cutting ceremony for the multimillion dollar streetscape renewal project Friday, April 9, 2021, at 1:30 pm at Downtown Center.
“Today’s ribbon cutting is the culmination of the hard work of the City Council, the staff, the contractor, and our residents throughout this process,” said Center Mayor, David Chadwick. “We want to welcome the public to help us celebrate this great milestone.”
“The Downtown Renewal Streetscape project involved a complete reconstruction of all the downtown streets, utility lines, electrical relocation, and landscaping”, explained Center City Manager Chad Nehring. “All of these improvements are also meant to improve pedestrian safety which will help our downtown merchants.”
