DPS Investigates Two-vehicle Crash in Tenaha

December 12, 2022 - Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) State Troopers investigated a two-vehicle crash involving an 18-wheeler truck tractor and a passenger car in Tenaha on December 9, 2022.
 
According to DPS Trooper Keith Jones, at 6:50pm a white 2006 Peterbilt 379 truck-tractor driven by Miroslaw Sek, 58, of Dickinson pulling a 2020 silver bulk hauler trailer southbound on U.S. Highway 59 in the outside lane on the overpass when he missed his turn onto U.S. 59 South. 

Sek made a left lane change when unsafe to attempt to make an exit and the Peterbilt struck a red 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander driven by Kristal D. Mosby, 38, of San Augustine.

The impact caused damage to the front left quarter panel of the truck-tractor and damage to the passenger side of the Mitsubishi.

EMS personnel were on scene and no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

Sek was cited for change lanes when unsafe.

Assisting at the scene were Shelby County Sheriff's Deputies.
