Driver Misjudges Exit, Vehicle Crashes in Tenaha

July 31, 2017 - The U.S. Highway 59 overpass in Tenaha was the scene of a single-vehicle rollover crash after a driver misjudged his exit.

According to Deputy Tenaha City Marshal Darren Gray, at 6:04am a grey 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Robert Alexander Worsham, 39, of Hot Springs, Ark. was southbound on U.S. Highway 59.

Worsham missed his turn and over corrected to the right and as the Tahoe traveled to the exit ramp it struck a guardrail on the left driver's side of the vehicle. He lost control of the Tahoe and it rolled before coming to rest on its top, trapping Worsham inside the vehicle and leaving the Tahoe in the middle of the roadway.

The Tenaha Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the scene to help extricate Worsham from the Tahoe.

ACE EMS transported Worsham from the scene to Nacogdoches Medical Center - Center Emergency Department for treatment of unknown injuries.

No citations were issued at the time of the crash.
