November 9, 2017 (By Ashley Cooper, FFA) - Center FFA had a great day at district contest Tuesday. The FFA Chapter carried 13 teams to competition with over 30 different schools. We had four teams advance to area competition and seven teams bannered or placed in the top four schools in their competition.
Out of those 30 schools, Center was awarded the Second Place Sweepstakes award, which means we were the second best school in the district.
Teams advancing to area competition are (placing either 1st or 2nd):
Public Relations placing 2nd: Jaylee Sims, Carsen Vickers, and Kelsey Adair
Agriculture Issues Forum placing 2nd: Kaitland Anderson, Anthony Salas, Emma Locke, and Zoie Eberenz
Greenhand Quiz placing 2nd: Michael Myers, Cade Meamber, Jeremiah Gregg, and Jase Bird (individual placings were 3rd Cade Meamber and 4th Michael Myers)
Sr. Creed Speaking placing 2nd: Maddie Russell
