October 13, 2026 - Emergency responders were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash on Farm-to-Market (FM) 414 on in the early hours of Friday, October 9, 2026.
The crash incident was located just east of State Highway 87 on FM 414 at around 2:45am. According to details from the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) a 2023 Ford F-250 driven by Daniel Jones, 56, of Center was northbound when Jones failed to drive in a single lane, traveled off the roadway to the left, and struck a ditch embankment.
Jones was transported to Nacogdoches Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries and was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor offense.
According to DPS, this is an ongoing investigation, and no further information is available at this time.
