September 1, 2023 - Funeral arrangements for SCSO Deputy Matthew Pierson will be held Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Harmony Hill Baptist Church located at 2708 South Chestnut Street in Lufkin. TX. Public visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., and the service will begin at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Blue Springs Cemetery Etoile, TX. Food for the family can be dropped off at Etoile Volunteer Fire Department or the Etoile Water Department beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday, September 5. Condolences may be sent to the Shelby County Sheriff's Office, or dropped off at the memorial vehicle set up at our agency. We will forward everything to Deputy Pierson's family.
