June 7, 2018 - Center Garden Club members Carole Ann Chance, Linda Bordelon, Robbie Kerr, and guest Mike Bordelon attended the 61st District III Texas Garden Clubs Southern Zone Summer Workshop on June 6, 2018 at the Crown Colony Country Club in Lufkin, Texas hosted by the Dogwood Garden Club of Lufkin. Members from the 14 East Texas Garden Clubs attended workshops on "Garden Club Enrichment" to learn about awards, programs, and recent changes for the treasurers. A program 'East Texas Native Orchids and Waterfalls" was presented by Gerrell Durham, local authority on native plants.
